Dear Karen,

You have been my favorite author for over 5 years.

I have recommended your books to hundreds of people.

I have read and purchased most of your books.

I have won autographed books through contests on your website.

I named my first born after a character in your book.

I have asked for prayer for characters in your book during Sunday School.

I have been disgusted with the rudeness of fast food workers in Bloomington, Indiana because that’s where the Baxter family lives.

Obviously the line between reality and your books is a little skewed in my mind. That is why I am writing you this letter.

Characters in books should not have their own Facebook pages. There should not be events where I can go meet the characters. This isn’t Disney World and I don’t need any help being totally absorbed in fantasy land.

I might not be able to continue to be your friend of Facebook and twitter. I just wanted you to know.
